Program description

The School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering faculty offer a graduate program leading to the MS in biomedical engineering.

Areas of study include:

  • biomaterials, biosensors, biomarkers and biomimetic materials
  • biomedical imaging
  • molecular, cellular and tissue engineering
  • neural and rehabilitation engineering
  • synthetic and systems biology

*GRE Waiver: GRE scores will NOT be required for ASU undergraduates, domestic and international applicants from Accredited US Universities for MS applications for Spring 2022 and Fall 2022 admission terms. Terms beyond that are subject to change. GRE waivers do not apply to PhD applications.

Application deadlines

MS

Complete applications will be reviewed in rounds.

Fall
If your application is complete by the first of December, February, April, or June, you will be notified by the end of that month. Applications completed after June 1 will be considered for future terms.
Spring
If your application is complete by the first of June, August, or October, you will be notified by the end of that month. Applications completed after October 1 will be considered for future terms.

PhD

Fall:      15 December
Spring:  1 July
